Essentials to Add in a Sales Email to Grab Client Attention

Sales Email to Grab Client Attention

If you rely on the power of sending out mass emails for conversions in your business, here are a few facts. Each of your prospective customers, especially if they are B2B buyers, receives several hundreds of such emails every day.

Out of these, they open a small percentage, read a few of them, and there will be very few instances where they would actually reach and act upon the call of action.

This means that in order to maximize conversions, you will need a better flow in the emails, more engaging language, and lots of other little tools of the trade that you’ll find in this blog.

Below is an example of a typical sales email:

Email Marketing

5 Important Components of a Sales Email

From start to finish, there are 5 things you need to keep in mind when composing sales emails. They are the step by step flow of what a prospect customer reads through, and it goes in the following order.

• Subject Line
• Opening Lines
• The Body
• Call-to-Action
• Signature

All these elements must be thoughtfully constructed, written, and placed in a way that the customer can’t help themselves but go to the next step after the other. This is how we ensure that they reach the call to action, and do call upon the action.

Please note that these aspects are dynamic and ever-changing. What’s a cool opening line today, can come off as corny tomorrow, so take these guidelines with a grain of salt, and be open to improvise.

1. Subject Line

The subject line is the first line of interaction between you and a potential customer. This is where the pros get things done because nailing this first step is so important. If there’s any room for creativity, it’s here. In the subject line, you can deliver value to your customer, making them open the mail in the first place.

It’s important to write the subject line like a real person, and not make it seem like a robotic factual statement of what is actually in the mail. Try to avoid catchy sounding slogans, because they can come off as corny, and be a big turn off for prospect.

A trick that really seems to work is, asking a question in the subject line, which seems personalized for the particular client you’re targeting.

Subject Line

2. Opening Lines

It is very important to know beforehand, what is the best way to address a particular client. Would they like to be addressed by their first name? Do they respond better to formalities like using “Mr.” or “Mrs.”? Are they a figure of authority and would be keen to respond to emails that start by addressing their seniority with “sir” or “ma’am”? These are important things to know because they can make all the difference.

The next step is to connect the context of your opening line to your subject because it is very important to maintain that kind of continuity. When done right, this funneling process should lead them right to conversion of a sale.

There is nothing worse than a bad opening line to turn back a customer. The first line is where you start establishing trust, tell them why you’re reaching out, and then take the first step towards the actual sales pitch.

3. The Body

This is the business end of your email. This is where the action happens, and you pitch them your sale. If a customer gets this far, you’ve already started warming them up towards your product or service. You have taken what was a cold customer and made them read the body of your sales pitch. Good job!

Depending on what you’re trying to sell, or what is the end goal of this sales email, you need to figure out what works best for your particular customer and service. The result could very well be a simple exploratory call by your prospect.

So to achieve this, you need to be thorough about what you do, what problem you solve, and what are the exclusive benefits you provide that the potential client can relate to.

4. Call-to-Action

This is the most important part because this where you are fulfilling the purpose of the email you sent. Now, it is very easy to get this step wrong. Call to action can simply mean a link click, but it has to lead somewhere, where the customer feels like their experience has been satisfactory too, and they come back again.

One can very easily confuse the customer by providing more than goals to their email, for example, a Facebook like, filling up a contact form, buying a product, etc.

Call To Action
The best way to get customers to fulfill the CTA is by making it very clear and simplified what you are asking for. You have room to be creative in making complex requests seem simple here.

5. Signature

The last thing you’re going to put on your sales email is the signature. This is where you put your name and hit the return button, then you put your title, hit return again, contact info, etc. etc. This is the traditional way of finishing an email, and it’s boring!

The signature part is an underutilized piece of real estate on an email, which can be used creatively to improve how you are perceived by your client. Getting creative means, attaching something that shows them more of who you are, or credible sources of third-person views about you.

Email Signature

For example, a good press feature is a great way to establish some clout. Another good way is to provide a YouTube video of something related to your product or service that showcases what you bring to the table.

Conclusion

Writing a good sales email from start to finish is an extremely vital skill to have when you’re relying on the internet to get your business. This guide is a great place to start funneling your potential clients in an organized manner, for turning them from a cold customer who has never heard of you, to a regular client who trusts in your business.

Link Building in SEO

Search Engine Optimization, abbreviated as SEO is the process of boosting a website’s presence on the World Wide Web by improving their Google search result rankings. Google search result rankings are the placement of a website’s result after someone looks up a specific keyword.

Let us see an example. Consider your website is called xyz.com and you sell mobile covers in Hyderabad when someone searches for “mobile covers in Hyderabad” your website should show up in the search results. If your website shows up 7th on the list, for example, your Google ranking for the keyword “mobile covers in Hyderabad” is 7.

Improving these rankings makes your business more noticeable and makes customers highly likely to buy your product, avail your service, or give you that website traffic.

Link Building in SEO1

There are many ways to make your website SEO friendly. It all starts at your website, optimizing it and fixing bugs that can hamper your website’s pages being picked up by Google’s and other search engine’s algorithms, which are constantly changing and evolving.

There are many other vital steps in the process of SEO. One of these important steps is Link Building.

The basic idea of link building is to place links on the World Wide Web that take a user back to your website. This is done by meticulously placing links on third party sites, for example, by hyperlinking keywords to your website on related topic blogs on various blog hosting websites amongst many others.

These back-links are always going to be a relevant way of practicing high-grade SEO for your website, regardless of how many changes the Google algorithms go through.

Backlinks

Like most things on the internet, link building can be done the right or the wrong way. The best way to build links in the healthiest way possible is to do it naturally. This means earning links, rather than buying them. For the long-term viability of your business, you must engage in natural link-building only.

The easy and the wrong way is called black-hat SEO where you can buy links and use manipulative tactics to get the links out there. This tactic can get your website banned from the internet, which is why you want to stay away from these.

Why is Link Building Important for SEO?

As mentioned above, Link Building is one of those methods which are going to be ever gold if you want your website to perform better on the internet. You must build high-quality links, especially in today’s online climate, where quality is everything.

A note from Google says, “In general, webmasters can improve the rank of their sites by increasing the number of high-quality sites that link to their pages”. Here are the essentials to keep in mind when Link Building is concerned.

• High-quality websites, with authority and trust of linking pages.
• Proper and engaging anchor text for incoming links.
• SEO and content optimization for both the respective sites.

Link Building Important for SEO

Strategies and Tips for Simple Link Building

The idea is to get higher ranking for the keywords you’re targeting by getting external websites hosting content similar or related to your product and services, back to your website. There are many strategies that one can employ.

Here are a few Strategies for Link Building:

Blogs, Articles, & Press Releases – The phrase “content is king” is used so much in the digital marketing profession for a reason. High-quality engaging content is the perfect way to pepper-up your customers before they get to your website.

Your customers are already warm towards your product or service if they’ve been reading a related blog or article. The best thing they can find throughout the blog is keywords linking them to your website, where they can avail of the said product or service!

Reviews & Mentions-  When your product or service is mentioned or reviewed by a reputed website, it gives your brand image, an air of legitimacy in the eyes of your customer. This psychology works for almost every business that has a market of consumers buying products and services.

Review websites are gold mines for back-linking your website. If the said reviewer has a large influence on the market, half your job is done right there.

Links form Friends and Family-  When your circle of friends, family, and partners share and link to your site it will increase the magnitude of your presence online. Links from sites and pages that have relevance to your niche will be way more effective than random websites hosting your links.

The Easy & Free Way- Internal Link Building

One underrated way to get your website’s search result rankings up is by employing this super easy method that you have total control over. Internal link building is a method where you inter-link pages in your domain.

To do this, you can make new pages with blogs and other forms of engaging content that redirects people to product pages, or your website’s home page, etc. Since it is under your domain only, you can do it for free!

Here are a few pointers to keep in mind:

• Anchor text of your hyper-links has to be relevant. Anchor texts work best when they are not related to your brand, your company name, or anything unique. They work best when they are keywords that catch people’s attention straight away.

• The page that you’re hosting this content on, has to be of high quality. Google and other search engines will rank these pages higher, only if they are safe, trusted, and of high quality with relevant content.

• It is very important to establish variety when you’re linking pages. Many times when people work on internal linking, they’ll just link keywords to their homepage. This makes it very difficult for other pages of relevance to achieve any ranking.

In conclusion, this has been a fair introduction to the basic tactics and strategies of Link Building. If you are about to start your own link building campaign, one important thing to keep in mind is, THINK ABOUT QUALITY; Quality of web pages that you’re linking to, quality of anchor words, hosting websites, everything.

It is exceedingly difficult to build links that take a user to low quality, under valuable pages. But if you’re working with share-worthy content, link building feels more successful and is much more fun to do!

YouTube marketing – what and how to include?

YouTube marketing

When was the last time you saw a video on YouTube without seeing an advertisement? Probably never, right? Promoting products on YouTube has never been so productive as it is in today’s world. Almost everyone with access to a smartphone or computer spends some time in the day to watch a video on YouTube. This implies that you are more likely to get traffic by creating videos for marketing your products and services.

Statistics have proved, time and again that YouTube is much bigger than other social media platforms with 500 hours of video uploaded every minute and 2 billion logged-in monthly users. These figures are enough to prove the dominance of video content on the world wide web. Businesses around the world have already started incorporating YouTube marketing in their marketing strategies in order to create high-quality and informative videos about their products.

Youtube Marketing

What Exactly Is Youtube Marketing?

YouTube marketing involves promoting your products or business on YouTube by uploading videos on your own channel or through advertisements. People are more likely to opt for your product or service when they see it on YouTube rather than in a text-based advertisement. As a marketer, this platform allows you to produce quality content that is easy to understand and share.

Creating A YouTube Channel

It goes without saying that if you wish to start marketing on YouTube, you need to have your own channel. Creating this channel is a very easy process, however, you need to ensure that you add relevant images to your channel art along with a well-written description. The description should be such that it should explain your business and the benefits the customer will have after subscribing to your channel.

Creating A YouTube Channel

A featured video is also an important element of any YouTube channel as it is the first thing your visitors will notice before looking at the description of your channel. These videos need to be creative and informative because they help to create an instant impression of your brand on the visitor, which in turn, affects your sales.

Youtube Channel

YouTube Video SEO Practices

Uploading numerous videos on your channel is not going to bring you business if they are not optimized properly. You need to include relevant keywords in your title and description in order to increase its visibility. An easy way to do this without damaging the “creative” aspect of your title is to use high-ranking keywords in the title and placing the additional keywords in the video description.

Below is an ideal example of such an SEO-friendly yet interesting video title:

YouTube Video SEO Practices

Upload High-Quality Videos That Maximize Watch Time & Bring Conversions

Once you are done setting up a YouTube channel for your business, it’s time to upload videos that will bring in potential customers for your brand. Here, you need to understand that if your videos are not goal-oriented, then they will fail to give the desired results for your business.

You need to perform a thorough study of your target audience and demographic before uploading any video. If you are looking to promote your brand, try to make videos that showcase the core values of your business, or highlight the importance of your product in a person’s life.

After you are done uploading your video, keep monitoring metrics like ‘watch time’ and ‘retention rate’ as it will help you to understand the pieces of content in the video which your audience finds interesting. It will also help you to develop goal-oriented and productive videos instead of lengthy and dull ones.

Is Monetizing Ads Worth It?

For businesses that are new to YouTube, monetizing their channel by displaying advertisements in their videos might have a negative impact on the business. This is because most people do not like to get interrupted when they are watching a video as it cuts their attention and they tend to lose their interest in watching that video further.

As a business on YouTube, your aim should be monetizing with the help of lead generation and brand awareness through your videos, instead of pay-per-view ads. However, if you still wish to go ahead with this, wait until you have at least over ten thousand subscribers!

Implementing YouTube Advertisement Campaigns

YouTube Advertising is the best way to showcase your video content in order to maximize your user reach. This type of advertising is done through Google Ads and YouTube implements a Cost-Per-View (CPV) model for this, which means that you pay only when someone views your ad. This helps to control your spending because once your preset daily campaign budget gets exhausted, YouTube will stop displaying your advertisement. Different examples of YouTube ads include Video Discovery Ads, Instream Ads, etc.

Below is the example of an Instream ad:

YouTube Advertisement Campaigns

Conclusion

YouTube, as a marketing platform, has enormous potential in today’s world if you use it correctly. Although it is true that you cannot expect raining views and results every time you upload a video on YouTube, you can surely develop a winning strategy by understanding public interest and by creating engaging content.
